License

License terms governing your use of the Videoslash software and services.

Last modified: October 26, 2026

1. License Grant

Videoslash grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Videoslash application and related services (collectively, the "Services") for creating and editing your own image, video and audio projects. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Videoslash.

2. Ownership

The Services, including all software, documentation, interfaces, designs, databases and content provided by Videoslash (excluding Your Content as defined below), are owned by or licensed to Videoslash and are protected by intellectual property laws. This License does not transfer ownership of any Videoslash intellectual property.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to any videos, audio, images, text, prompts, data or other materials you upload or create using the Services ("Your Content"). You represent that you have all necessary rights to use and process Your Content with the Services, including the consent of any person who is shown or heard in it.

You grant Videoslash a limited license to host, process, transmit and display Your Content, and to forward it to the AI providers you choose, only as necessary to provide the Services. We do not use Your Content to train our own AI models.

4. Results and Commercial Use

You may use the results you create with the Services, including commercially, as set out in Section 3.2 of our Terms of Service. The terms of the model providers behind individual features also apply.

5. Restrictions

You may not (a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the Services; (b) resell, rent, lease, lend or sublicense the Services; (c) use the Services to violate applicable law, third-party rights or our Acceptable Use Policy; (d) access the Services in a manner intended to avoid incurring fees or to exceed usage limits; or (e) remove or obscure proprietary notices, or the AI labels and metadata that Videoslash adds to results.

6. Third-Party Content and Services

Certain features rely on third-party services, such as AI model platforms, and Stripe for payments. Your use of such services may be subject to separate terms. We remain responsible for our own obligations under our Terms of Service.

7. Updates

Videoslash may provide updates or changes to the Services. Changes to the Services and to our terms are handled as described in Sections 2.3, 10 and 15.1 of our Terms of Service.

8. Termination

This License is effective until terminated. You can end it at any time by cancelling as described on our Refunds and Cancellation page. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of our terms or for security, legal or operational reasons, as set out in Section 12 of our Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases, but Sections 2, 5 and 9 to 11 survive.

9. Warranty and Liability

Your statutory rights for defects in digital products apply. Our liability is governed by Sections 10 and 11 of our Terms of Service. Nothing in this License excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Videoslash against claims of third parties and reasonable legal defense costs that arise because you culpably used Your Content or the Services in violation of this License or applicable law, as set out in Section 9 of our Terms of Service.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

This License is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you usually live. For consumers the statutory places of jurisdiction apply. If you are a business, the place of jurisdiction is the seat of Videoslash.

If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If this License and our Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service apply.
