Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do with Videoslash.
Last modified: October 28, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Use. It applies to everything you do with Videoslash: the website, the dashboard and editor, every AI tool, the API, the MCP connection to AI assistants, and the posts you publish through connected social accounts. It also applies to the prompts, files and links you submit and to the results you create.
If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us at [email protected] before you create it.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person. Do not create extra accounts to get free credits, trials, discounts or welcome offers again.
- Do not share, sell or rent your account, your credits or your API keys. Keep API keys secret and use them only for your own projects.
- Give accurate information and keep your login secure.
2. Real people, faces and voices
Features such as Recast, Reshoot, Lipsync, face or character swap, voice change and voice cloning can recreate real people. When you use them:
- Use only material you own or have permission to use, and only if every person shown or heard has agreed, including to having their face or voice used to generate new content.
- Do not impersonate anyone, put words in a real person's mouth that they did not say, or make it look as if someone endorses a product, opinion or person when they do not.
- Do not create or share intimate or sexually explicit images, videos or audio of a real person without their consent, and never of a minor.
- Do not use Videoslash to identify, verify, track or profile people, or to infer sensitive characteristics such as health, religion, political views or sexual orientation from someone's face or voice.
- Public figures are real people too. Satire and commentary must be clearly recognizable as such and must not deceive.
3. Children
We have zero tolerance for content that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors, whether real or AI-generated. Do not upload images or videos of children you are not legally responsible for, and do not use any tool to alter how a child looks or sounds without the consent of their parent or guardian. We remove such content, close the account and report it to the authorities where the law requires or allows it.
4. Prohibited content
Do not use Videoslash to create, upload or share content that:
- is illegal where you or your audience are, or that promotes illegal activity;
- incites hatred or violence against people because of origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or similar characteristics;
- glorifies, supports or recruits for terrorism or violent extremism;
- threatens, harasses, bullies, doxes or defames others;
- shows or promotes self-harm, suicide or eating disorders in a way that could encourage them;
- depicts graphic violence or cruelty to animals for its own sake;
- sells or advertises weapons, drugs or other illegal or dangerous goods;
- is sexually explicit in a way the law or our model providers do not allow.
5. Deception, fraud and elections
- Do not pass off AI content as a real recording of real events or people where that can mislead. Label realistic AI content (deepfakes) as AI-generated, as described on our AI Transparency page.
- Do not create scams, phishing, fake testimonials or reviews, fake product claims, fake news or misleading ads.
- Do not create content meant to mislead voters, for example fake statements by candidates or officials, or false information about how, when or where to vote.
- Do not present AI-generated medical, legal or financial claims as the advice of a real professional.
6. Copyright, trademarks and other rights
- Only upload videos, images, music, voices and other material you own or have the rights to use. This includes videos you import from a link and source footage for Recreate, Reshoot, Translate, Upscale or Erase.
- Do not use Erase or any other tool to remove watermarks, logos, copyright notices, credits or rights information from content that belongs to someone else.
- Do not copy someone else's video and publish the result as your own work, and do not use other people's trademarks in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.
7. AI labels and provenance
Results from Videoslash can carry machine-readable data that marks them as AI-generated. Do not remove, alter or hide this data, and do not try to make AI content look camera-made in order to deceive.
8. Platform integrity
- Do not get around credit costs, usage limits, rate limits, plan restrictions or content checks, and do not exploit bugs for credits or free usage. Report bugs to us instead.
- Do not file chargebacks for payments you actually authorized; contact us first.
- Do not scrape the website, reverse engineer the Services or use automated access other than our API and MCP connection within their limits.
- Do not attack, overload or probe our systems, upload malware, or try to access other users' accounts or data.
- Do not resell access to Videoslash, our API or our models, or build a service that mainly passes Videoslash through to others without our written permission.
9. Publishing and social media
When you publish through connected TikTok, Instagram, Threads, X or other accounts, you also have to follow that platform's rules, including its rules for labeling AI content. Do not use Videoslash for spam, mass-produced misleading posts, fake engagement or to evade a platform's restrictions.
10. Reporting violations
If you see content or behavior on Videoslash that breaks this policy or violates your rights, email [email protected] with:
- a link to the content or a clear description of where it is,
- why you think it is unlawful or breaks this policy,
- your name and email address (you may stay anonymous for reports of child sexual abuse material), and
- a statement that your report is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
We review every report promptly, carefully and objectively, and tell you what we decided. Intimate images of a real person shared without consent and any content that sexualizes minors are removed without undue delay.
11. What happens if you break this policy
Depending on how serious the violation is, we may remove content, stop a generation, restrict features or credits, and suspend or close your account. We act proportionately and normally warn you first. For serious violations, such as content sexualizing minors, non-consensual intimate imagery or credible threats, or where there is danger in delay, we act immediately.
We tell you what we did and why. You can respond or object by email to [email protected] within six months; a person reviews your response and we decide again. Where the law requires it, we report content to the competent authorities. Credits are not refunded for content removed because it breaks this policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.
12. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add features or the law changes. Material changes are handled as described in Section 15.1 of our Terms of Use.
