AI Transparency

How Videoslash uses AI, and how we label AI-generated content.

Last modified: October 27, 2026

1. What Videoslash does

Videoslash is a platform for creating and editing images, videos and audio with artificial intelligence. The AI models behind our features are built and operated by third-party providers. We give you access to them through third-party AI model platforms, and we add our own editing tools around them. Everything you generate with these features is created by AI.

2. How we label AI-generated content

Files created or edited with Videoslash carry machine-readable metadata that marks them as AI-generated, for example based on the C2PA standard. This helps platforms and other software recognize AI content. Please do not remove these markings.

3. What you need to do when you publish

Under the EU AI Act, anyone who publishes a deepfake must disclose that it is AI-generated. A deepfake is realistic AI content showing people, places or events that could be mistaken for real footage.

  • If your content looks like real footage, label it clearly as AI-generated where people first see it.
  • If your content is clearly fictional, animated or artistic, the disclosure can be kept short and unobtrusive, for example in the description or credits.
  • Follow the AI labeling rules of the platform you publish on, such as YouTube, TikTok or Meta.

4. Faces and voices

Features like lipsync, character or face swap, voice change and voice cloning recreate real people. You may only use them with material you own or have permission to use, and only if every person shown or heard has agreed. Using these features to impersonate someone, deceive people or create intimate content without consent is forbidden. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Your data and AI providers

To carry out your requests, we send your content to the AI providers you use through Videoslash. We do not use your content to train our own AI models. How we process personal data, which providers receive it and how long we keep it is explained in our Privacy Policy.

6. Connecting an AI assistant

If you connect Videoslash to an AI assistant such as Claude, the assistant is an AI system operated by a third party. It sends requests to Videoslash on your behalf after you authorize the connection. You can revoke the connection at any time in your account or in the assistant.

7. Limits of AI output

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive or similar to existing works. Review every result before you use or publish it. You are responsible for how you use the results.

8. Report a problem

If you find AI content on Videoslash that is deceptive, harmful or violates someone's rights, email [email protected] with a link to the content and a short description. We review every report.
